About Ms. Richardson
Teacher/Tutor/Owner
Stephanie Richardson loves to learn, and she imparts that passion to her students.
Her eclectic collection of degrees reflect her fascination with the human mind and the stories we tell— BA in History with an Africana Studies concentration (Bryn Mawr College), MEd in Elementary Education (Boston College), and MA in History with an Oral History concentration (Northeastern University).
She has taught students in a range of settings, from the Boston Public Schools in Boston, MA, to Bethel Christian School in Redding, CA. The diversity of her teaching experiences has proved to her that we are ALL designed to learn, and that when personal knowledge of a student is paired with high-quality instruction, students will grow!
In addition to teaching and tutoring in the elementary school setting, Stephanie has also coached teachers and facilitated professional development workshops with Facing History and Ourselves, and supported homeschooling families, particularly in the area of foundational reading skills.
She currently directs the Dream Team at Bethel Christian School, which pairs students with support and enrichment, so that a wider range of students can find their “just right” level of challenge at school.
